How to Create a Photography Website 2019

A photography website can serve as an online portfolio to show your professional work and give potential visitors to your site a gallery of images to look through.

You can also post photographs you have taken as a hobby to the website.

Today I'm going to show you how to make a photography website with no step skip. So if you are ready then I'm ready so let's begin.

You can create a photography website in 4 easy steps;

  1.  Hosting
  2.  Domain Name
  3.  Install Wordpress
  4. Website Creation

Hosting

Hosting is the computer that is on 24 hours day that host all of your information like your texts and images. Without hosting if someone went to your website, your website will come up blank.

Domain name

Get a domain name, Your domain name is the same as your website name. Your domain name will probably be like yourbusiness.com or yourname.com. Google domain name is google.com and my domain name is techtricksexpert.com

WordPress

We are going to install WordPress.

WordPress is Content Management System (CMS) which is a fancy way of saying it helps you manage all of your contents like texts and images. Instead of having to know code, all you have to do is type in your texts or drag in your images just like you would in Microsoft Word.

WordPress is used by fortune five hundred companies like CNN, Forbes, Reuters, New York Times, etc and people like Jay-Z, Katy Perry and it is also used by professional web developers and is by far the most popular Content Management System.

Website Creation

We are going to have some fun and create your Website.

But first, let go over how much everything is going to cost.

For hosting which allows your website to be on 24 hours a day is going to cost $10 per month.

For your domain name which is the same as your website name is going to cost $15/year.

Luckily for us, WordPress is free and because we are creating our website ourself instead of paying web developer thousands of dollars creating a website is also free.

So the only thing that costs money is Hosting and domain.

luckily for you, I have included discounted pricing that I personally negotiated with a web host, Bluehost so that you can start your blog for cheap. You will also receive a free domain name through my link!

On the next page, you will see different plans BlueHost offer. To be honest the Choice Plus plan is a little bit overkill since we are just getting started which just leave it between the Basic plan and Plus plan.
So if you just planning to have one blog you can go for the Basic plan or if you are planning of building or making more than one blog, you can go for the Plus plan.

As I'm just doing this for the tutorial I'm going to go for the Basic plan and as we've decided we can click on the Select button underneath as shown below.

On the next page, we can register our FREE domain name which comes with our account.

Type the domain name or your blog name you wanted to register  if you are lucky your domain name will be available and if it's unavailable you just keep trying until you find a good one that is available which matches your business or blog and it's short as possible because short domain names rank higher in Search Engines.

If you already have a domain you can enter it in where it says "I have a domain name"
you need to change the nameservers at your domain registrar to:
NS1.Bluehost.com
NS2.Bluehost.com

Or you click on Choose Later and continue to the next page.
