Before we start creating a website, let’s cover some of the most commonly asked questions that we get.
What do I need to build a website?
You’ll need the following three things to start your WordPress site.
- A domain name – this is the name of your website such as www.facebook.com
- WordPress hosting – this is where your website files are stored.

Creating WordPress Website Step By Step
Next, you’ll need website hosting. All websites on the internet need hosting. This will be your website’s home on the internet.
A domain name typically costs $15/year and hosting costs start from $4-8/month.

First, you’ll need to go to the Bluehost website in a new browser window and click on the green ‘Get Started Now’ button.
Choose the right hosting page. I’d suggest the Basic Package. It offers plenty of speed, performance, functionality, and storage for your first website. You can upgrade your hosting plan as your website grows.
You will be prompted to choose a domain name as you can see in the example below or you can use any of your existing domain names. Double check your domain name to avoid mistakes.

On the next page first, fill in your account information, proceed to package information and choose your account plan(you can either go with 12, 24 or 36 months it is completely up to you),
now go to the package extras uncheck the optional add-ons.
But if you want any of them leave the boxes check, and then if you are happy with everything enter your payment details underneath and if you don't want to use a credit card you can click on where it says more payment option and choose Paypal instead.
Finally, accept the terms and conditions and click on submit.

Congratulations you have successfully set your password now click on the login Button as shown below to start installing Wordpress it will only take a few seconds.
On the next page, you will be shown a few different themes you can use for your WordPress Website.
If you see the one you like the lookup you can hover over it and click use this theme or if you don't see the one you like you can skip this step at the bottom and choose a different one later.
But for the sake of this tutorial, please choose Ocean WP as shown below.
All done! now click on the Start building button to log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
Congratulations you have successfully set your password now click on the login Button as shown below to start installing Wordpress it will only take a few seconds.
